Meeting Our Neighbours: Guide Dogs NT

By Korgan Hucent
Here at Ray White Bayside real estate, we are surrounded by an array of vibrant local businesses and organisations.  One such organisation is Guide Dogs NT, and their office is just around the corner from us.
With a long history in the Northern Territory, Guide Dogs NT provides training and assistance to those with vision loss, no matter where they are located within the Northern Territory.  Clients include those with brain injury, hearing impediments and of course vision impairment.
At the Fannie Bay office, clients can discover a large range of assistive technology on display, and speak to qualified specialists who can assist.  The office frequently runs training and provides extensive rehabilitation services to help clients.
The organisation trains puppies, transforming them into Guide Dogs and Autism Assistance Dogs, and because the organisation receives no Government funding for its Guide Dog Program, donations are hugely important.  You can donate online via the website at
Guide Dogs NT also run lotteries, that help raise invaluable funds, and you can find out more about these by visiting
From becoming a Puppy Sponsor to volunteering and becoming a Puppy Raiser, there are many ways you can support this fantastic organisation.  A great place to discover how you can get involved, is to visit the website at
