Do you love rock climbing? Then head on down to The Rock – Darwin’s only indoor rock climbing centre!

By Korgan Hucent
The Rock Centre is located in a prime position in Darwin city, right beside the Aquascene fish feeding venue. To really add to the fun and excitement of the attraction is the fact that the rock climbing is located inside – get this – an old World War II oil tank!
You read correctly!  You just wouldn’t find something like this anywhere else in Australia!
The Rock Centre caters to climbers of all ages and skill levels, ranging from beginner through to advanced.  Rock climbing though isn’t all that is on offer at the Rock Centre.  The venue boasts a swag of other fun activities including abseiling, orienteering, overnight camps and adventures, canoeing, mountain biking, archery and obstacle course!
It’s not only indoor climbing that’s on offer either, with the venue also operating an outdoor climbing wall as well.   Alongside this wall, you’ll also find a multi storey play maze to keep you and your family and friends entertained and amused.
Prices are very reasonable as well, at just $25 per person which includes insurance, instruction and your trusty harness – you don’t want to go without one of these!  The venue is open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 12pm -6pm, and also Tuesday and Thursday from 12pm -9pm.
A few of us here at Ray White Bayside real estate have got in touch with our brave side to experience the excitement that The Rock Centre is known for, and we highly recommend it!   Check the place out sometime and chances are, you may even end up climbing alongside one of our team.  For more information about this venue and the attractions on offer at The Rock Centre, visit http://www.travelnt.com/en/darwin-and-surrounds/things-to-do/the-rockdarwins-indoor-climbing-centre.
