Good old Lego, it’s as popular with our kids today as it was with us when we were young whippersnappers! Kicking off in 1949, Lego has entertained generations for the past 68 years! It’s still fun even in the adult world – look at Lego Land! All those amazing creations were designed and constructed by adults!
Not so fun though to walk on, when you are doing the dash-in-the-dark to the toilet in the middle of the night! That however, is not the purpose Lego was ever intended for!
Back on topic though, and here’s the exciting part!
Palmerston Library know all about Lego fun and are running a Lego Club every other Wednesday from 3.30pm – 4.30pm. Unfortunately, adults, this isn’t for us (cue the sighs of disappointment), but it’s especially for kids aged between 5 and 12. We may not be able to join in with the building fun, but we can send them there for a little after school play, while we get our shopping done or finish off our last tasks at work.
The next date is March 1st and will continue fortnightly up until June 21st. The Ray White Bayside Real Estate team are wondering when there will be an adult Lego Club? Some of us secretly love to get our creative build on! Nevertheless, the kids will love it – which is what matters most, right?
And they can bring home some fabulous design ideas that we too, can play a role in creating!
