The Darwin Symphony Orchestra has been bringing music to the Top End since 1989 and they will be returning next month with a live performance of Nigel Westlake’s, ‘Babe’ at the Darwin Convention Centre.
Babe the movie is family fave amongst us Aussies. The timeless tale of a young pig who wants to become a sheepdog stole our hearts 21 years ago (yes, it really was that long ago!) and was nominated for seven Academy Awards. Now, the Darwin Symphony Orchestra is bringing it to our big screen once again for a 21st anniversary special.
Matthew Wood, Chief Conductor and Artistic Director will be conducting the performance, bringing together the stunning film score with the Darwin Symphony Orchestra. Originally performed by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, it is time for a Territorian take.
The event will be taking place on Saturday 10th December and tickets are in high demand! A number of the guys and girls here at the Ray White Bayside team are seriously considering booking tickets for this amazing event, and we strongly advise you do too. We definitely don’t want you missing out!
Furthermore, Darwin Convention Centre is one of the best venues here in the Top End. Escape the wet season heat and head down with the family for a one-off night of memorable music!
