The Teddy Bear’s Picnic is back and at a new and exciting location!

By Korgan Hucent

It’s Darwin’s most fun day out for our little ones, and it is returning this month for its annual event. The Teddy Bear’s Picnic will be held at its brand-new location at the Darwin Cenotaph on The Esplanade, on Sunday 13th August from 9am till midday.

The Teddy Bear’s Picnic has been part of the Darwin Festival for over 30 years and City of Darwin are stepping in this year to support the event. It’s a fabulous free day out for thousands of families here in the Top End and something the young ones look forward to all year round!

So, head along and treat the kids to a day of play and don’t forget to bring along their favourite furry friend – it is the Teddy Bear’s Picnic after all. The event will showcase some of Darwin’s local talent and guest artists, with a jam-packed morning of music, magic, dancing, crafts and food!

What’s not to love about that?!

Over 2000 families attended the event in 2016 and more are expected this year, which makes Darwin Cenotaph the perfect location with plenty of space and a gorgeous sea-sidey feel on a beautiful Dry Season day.  You really cannot beat the weather right now, and no doubt, the sun gods will be shining down on Darwin for the teddies!

The Ray White Bayside team will be there with our families, enjoying the fun and no doubt getting our picture taking with the giant bear who will be meandering through the crowds.
