The Italian festival is coming back to town!

By Korgan Hucent

It’s no lie that the Ray White Bayside Real Estate team weren’t upset last year when the Italian Festival didn’t come to town, but the smiles are well and truly back on our faces as The Italian Festival will be held this Saturday down at the George Brown Botanic Gardens!

The biennial festival originated in 2013, when a group of volunteers from the Italian community wanted to recognise and promote their culture. And my goodness, did we love it?! What’s not to love? Pizza? Pasta? Italian music? Yes to everything!

Local businesses, entertainers and the community will be gathering to create the true essence of Italy, right here is D Town! It actually won the MEA Award of, “best public event of the year” in Australia 2015, and there’s no doubt it will be even better this year.

With over 19 food stalls, we will be spoilt for choice on what to eat! From Il Lido’s aranchini and Cucino Sotto Le Stelle’s wood fired pizzas, to Kurt’s Cakes Italian desserts, and not to mention the Prosecco bar! We will have it all!

Admission into the festival is free and more information can be found at http://www.italiansnt.com.au/pages/Italian-Festival-2017.html.

This is only a biennial event so make sure you head down. We would hate for you to have to wait until 2019 for the next one! See you there!
