Parap is an inner suburb of the city of Darwin, located approximately 3.7kms from Darwin city centre.

Parap is well known for its streets being named after early Australian aviators and explorers including; Ross Smith Avenue, Hudson Fysh Avenue, Leichhardt Crescent and Gregory Street.

The Parap Village offers one of Darwin’s longest running markets, and is considered by many as the ideal place to meet or to have breakfast or light meals. The multi-cultural market place is well known for its diverse food styles, arts and crafts and its busy but relaxed atmosphere. Parap Markets encourage local arts and craftspeople. Situated in the Parap Village Shopping Precinct off Parap Road, the market operates every Saturday of the year between 8am-2pm.

Parap Tavern is also a popular  attraction amongst locals and tourists. Located on Parap Road, Parap Tavern offers the Raging Bull Bar and Grill restaurant and entertainment such as live music and trivia nights.
