If you aren’t too fussed on the idea of seeing a film in a busy movie theatre, then chances are the viewing experience on offer at Deckchair Cinema may be more to your liking? Open air, under the stars and with the glorious backdrop of Darwin Harbour, this Darwin institution is operated by the not-for-profit Darwin Film Society – a group of people committed to screening some of the world’s most innovative, original and eclectic cinematic creations.
The Deckchair Cinema screens films seven nights each week from 20 April until 20 November 2016, and there are four seven-week programs for you to enjoy every year! The cinema opens nightly from 6.30pm, with films commencing promptly at the advertised times. You can access the full line up at;

to see what films most appeal!
You are more than welcome to bring your own food to the Deckchair Cinema, however you are not permitted to bring your own alcohol. Do not despair however, because as a fully licensed venue, you can treat yourself to one or a number of fabulous beverages on offer. Every night a different local catering company provides tasty delights to make your experience at the Deckchair even more magical!
One of the greatest things about the Deckchair Cinema, according to our team here at Ray White Bayside real estate, is the price! Just $16 per adult, and if you’re a family with two adults and two kids, it’s just $35! Kids under four are totally free as well.
You can enjoy even more savings if you become a member of the Darwin Film Society, where you can get four free tickets per year and a $6 discount off the adult ticket price.
Located on Jervois Road at the Darwin Waterfront, the Deckchair Cinema is a must-experience for Darwin locals and visitors alike! Check out the Deckchair Cinema website at;
