2016 was a great year – not to mention a very, very fast year! We’re stuck for choice on what to do this New Year’s Eve here at Ray White Bayside. We have so many great venues and events to choose from in Darwin, but what is a New Year without fireworks? Well luckily for us, both Darwin Waterfront and SkyCity Casino will be hosting firework displays – for a truly unforgettable New Year!
For a family-friendly new year, head down to the Waterfront for a fun-filled evening of entertainment. The night will be kicking off at 5pm with a free outdoor concert with Hoot and Hootabelle and fireworks at 9pm for the little ones. And if you’re keen on letting them stay up way past their bedtime, there will be a live concert from Diesel starting at 9.30pm and an additional New Year’s firework display at midnight.
Head down early with the whole gang and pick a good spot with a view! Bring your own picnic blankets and comfy chairs and just sit back, relax and soak up the free family entertainment. For a more glamorous and child-free alternative, SkyCity Darwin is open as usual. With five restaurants to choose from, numerous bars and even just trying your luck on the tables – you’re in for a great night! They’re even hosting an exclusive Illumination New Year’s Eve party, which will be held in the Beachside Pavilion.
Dance the night away to Sydney female DJ duo, The Faders and enjoy amazing live performances by ‘Light Fantastique’ for just $55! Or $105 for a VIP ticket. Alternatively, if you’re looking for more chilled vibes, then Bridey Rose and The Good Fellows will be performing live in the Sandbar from 10pm – 1pm…for free!
Whichever room, restaurant or party you choose to attend at SkyCity, you can all soak up the fabulous firework display over Mindil Beach at midnight. This is definitely the best way to start 2017 in style!
