You guessed it! It’s almost V8 Supercar time up here in Darwin and that means thousands of people will be set to descend upon Hidden Valley for loads of racing action and a heap of quality entertainment! Expect to see for yourself all the big V8 names at this show stopping event and get your fair share of racing action!
Everything officially kicks off on Thursday 16th June at Raintree Park in the Darwin CBD at 10am until 1pm for the V8 Supercars Transporter Convoy and Drivers Signing! This is the official welcome to Darwin element of the event and it’s going to bring the city to a standstill for all the right reasons!
From there will be the Mindil Beach V8 Supercars Drivers Signing from 5pm until 6.45pm at the Mindil Markets. Head to the markets and grab a bite to eat at any one of the amazing stalls, and meet the V8 drivers in the flesh!
Then on Friday 17th June, the racing excitement starts at Hidden Valley from 8.15am right up until 1.45pm when 60 minutes of practice gets underway. Demonstration events will be happening throughout the day and will certainly provide lots of excitement! That evening from 5pm in the Darwin CBD, there will be Darwin City Stunt Zone – a stunt show right in the middle of town, and it’s absolutely free to attend!
More racing will be happening on Saturday 18th June and on Sunday 19th June, with racing and demonstration events and an incredible Race & Rock Show from 5.30pm on Saturday 18th June, featuring The Living End and Bad/Dreems! Sunday will shape up to be equally exciting, concluding with Voice in the Valley at 5.30pm featuring John Farnham, supported by Taylor Henderson.
