And if you don’t know what Bamboo Moon is, then you’re ready the right article, right here!

The Botanic Gardens has been coming up with the goods of late, in their successful hosting of outdoor events. Recently, the Italian Festival went down as a big hit, and on the 3rd August, it is the turn of Bamboo Moon. Bamboo Moon is a free event, suitable for all of the family and presented by Corrugated Iron Youth Arts. The show is a mixture of circus, physical theatre and dramatic performances and tells the tale of Princess Kaguya, the daughter of a Japanese bamboo cutter. Over 40 local artists will showcase their talents as part of this incredible event!

This is a wonderful opportunity to support local performers and a reminder to us all that Darwin has a superb performance arts scene.  There is a particular focus on young emerging artists, so the Ray White Bayside team encourage you to drop down and show your support.  You’re sure to be amazed and of course, entertained!

The gates open at 6pm and the whole family are encouraged to attend! There are no bookings necessary, but it is advisable to get there early to grab a decent spot! Also advisable is to bring a picnic blanket, some drinks and nibbles. This super performance will be enjoyable for parents and children alike, and it is a great way to introduce the little ones to theatre. Most importantly, prepare yourself for an absolutely beautiful event under the Darwin stars.
