In another weekend that’s sure to bring loads of blue skies and sunshine, why not get the running shoes out and your pink t-shirt for an event that’s doing great things for a great cause? Jog for Jugs is happening across the country this Sunday, but for those in Darwin, it kicks off from 7.30am until 9am at Mindil Beach at the Mindil Beach SLSC storage containers.
This 3km jog aims to raise vital funds to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation and Breast Cancer Network Australia, and you can register right now online at:

The event was founded by Peta Burton in 2011, and is the only free, non-competitive, all ages, annual beach job fundraiser in Australia. Currently Jog for Jugs is hosted in Perth, Darwin, Ayr, Cape York, the Gold Coast and Coolangatta/Tweed Heads. Today it is a registered charity in its own right, and encourages everybody to embrace a lifestyle of healthy eating, exercise and positive choices. The organisation has raised more than $50,000 for its cause since its very first event in 2011.
You can choose to run, jog or just walk – it’s totally up to you! All in all, it’s a great opportunity to raise some vital funds for a fabulous cause. There will also be heaps of promotional clothing and items available for purchase on the day.
So check out the event website at http://www.jogforjugs.com.au/ and come and be a part of something really special and fun!
