Did you know October is actually Golf Month?

By Korgan Hucent

That’s right, it’s an official occasion that will be celebrated right across Australia for the month of October, and as part of it, golf facilities nationwide will host a variety of exciting activities to encourage people to take up the sport.

Now here at Ray White Bayside, we do have a few team members who are pretty good on the golf course, but on the other hand, we have a few that either goof their way through 18-holes or they’ve never even made it onto the course.  No doubt, we’re a pretty good snapshot of the general population and if you’ve entertained the idea of trying your hand at the game, this may be your chance!

There is a website where you can find out all about Golf Month and you’ll find it at: www.golfmonth.com.au, but here’s what will be happening as part of Golf Month around Darwin:

  • Bring a Friend to Golf for Free – Darwin Golf Club, 1 Oct – 31 Oct
  • Hole in One Shoot Out Competition – Darwin Golf Club, 7 Oct from 3pm – 7pm
  • Mums and Bubs at the Darwin Golf Club – Darwin Golf Club 18 Oct – 15 Oct 10am – 11am
  • Night Golf – RAAF Darwin Golf Club 1 Oct – 2 Oct from 6.30pm – 9pm

On the website, you’ll be able to access further information on these events, as well as pricing for your participation.  Activities are added to the website every day, so if you’re interested in golf, it’s definitely worth your while to keep watch on the updates!

Golf Month is supported by the PGA of Australia, ALPG, GMA and all state and territory golfing associated, committed to increasing participation and club membership nationwide.
