Christmas Day usually means chocolates for brekky for most people, so we really do need to make sure we get our veggies in too! Luckily for us, Healthy Darwin is on a mission to keep us fit and healthy here in the Top End and they are bringing a series of workshops to the community to help us learn how to.
One of the workshops includes a Chrissy-style cooking class, ‘Seasonal sides for a tropical Christmas’ that they will be hosting on Sunday 11th December at Karama Primary School.
Our transient town can be quiet during the festive period but for those who are staying for a sweaty one (like some of us here at Ray White Bayside), then this is the class for you! Learn how to use local produce to prepare and cook delicious side dishes to accompany your Christmas meat, fish or even to have on their own.
The team will also be teaching us how to grow our own veggies too – even in urban areas! Beats a dreaded trip to Woolies ay? We’re in!
The class will start at 2pm and bookings are essential! Tickets cost just $20 or $15 for concession, and can be made by contacting Emma Lupin on greenbeingnt@gmail.com. We do suggest you book soon though as spaces are limited!
We can’t wait to show off our new creative cooking skills! See you there!
