Can you believe ‘The Dry’ is almost over?

By Korgan Hucent

Just the other day the Ray White Bayside real estate team were talking about how New Years’ Eve didn’t seem all that long ago, but here we are into October and fast approaching the end of ‘The Dry’.  It wasn’t much of a Dry this year, however that doesn’t change the fact that the much-loved Mindil Beach Markets will be wrapping up soon for another year.

The Mindil Beach Market Grand Finale will be happening on Thursday 27th October and kicking off from 5pm.  As sad as it may be that the market year is coming to a close, it won’t be a time to shed tears, because the markets are going out with a bang!  Fireworks will be commencing at 8.30pm to celebrate yet another successful year by the beach.

Running annually from April to October, the Mindil Beach Markets are a huge hit for locals and tourists to Darwin.  Mingle amongst the friendly crowds to check out the local arts, crafts, jewellery, clothing and more!  You can have a massage or if you’re into it, even get your palm read or your Tarot cards done!

As great as the arts and crafts are, what people really love about the Mindil Beach Markets is the food!  It quite literally is the world kitchen right there along the beach!  Everything from Chinese, Indian, Thai, Portuguese, Sri Lankan and so much more!  Just follow your nose and see where it goes!

So whilst you’re visually and aromatically delighted, you’ll also relax and chill to the live entertainment that really, when combined with the backdrop, makes for a lovely evening.

Make sure you experience it one last time for 2016 by getting down to the Mindil Beach Market Grand Finale…because Thursday 27th October will be here before you know it.

For further information on the markets, feel free to check out the website at: www.mindil.com.au.
