Get yourself ready for some serious sideshow alley fun when the Royal Darwin Show rolls into town for 2016. It’s all going to be happening from Wednesday 21st July until Friday 23rd July and as always, there will be loads of fun to be had by people of all ages! Just recently when we were chatting about the show here at the Ray White Bayside office, a few of us recalled our favourite memories at the show and it’s certainly a must-experience!
This year’s show will be the 65th and the theme for 2016 is ‘A Taste of the Territory’. Be sure to check out the amazing displays, contributed by individuals, schools and clubs. Everything from needlework and cake making, through to parrots and of course livestock. It quite literally is when the country comes to the city!
You’ll see the best cattle, horses, fruits and vegetables on display, as well as sheep dogs and even flying pigs – you definitely don’t see that one every day! Ringside is certainly where all of that excitement can be witnessed!
Mingle with the country folk, share stories or just browse, taking in the sights and sounds. As you walk around, you’ll witness entertainers and be tempted by some of the delicious aromas you automatically think of when you recall your fondest memories at the show!
Sideshow alley as always will promise thrills every minute, with the exciting rides for the young and the not-so-young! Be brave and test your metal by getting in the queue to experience a really fast and furious ride for yourself, or maybe just watch others!
There will be the essential line up of games and attractions as well, drawing people in with the chance of scoring a prize. A little further on, you’ll also discover the show bag pavilion and the many treats just waiting for you right there! Treat yourself and give yourself permission to really go all out! The kids will absolutely love it!
