At Ray White Bayside real estate, we’re all in two minds when it comes to the wonder of crocodiles. On one hand, some of us are amazed that we still have the closest thing to dinosaurs inhabiting the planet, and on the other, well some of us are quite freaked out at the thought of such beasts, possibly eyeing us off from their hiding place in the water!
Regardless, these reptilian creatures do fascinate us and to respond to that fascination, we have the great attraction right here in Darwin that is Crocosaurus Cove. Located right in the heart of the Darwin CBD, Crocosaurus Cove quite literally brings the crocs into the city!
It is believed that some of the largest saltwater crocodiles actually call Crocosaurus Cove home and it in fact is the World’s largest display of Australian reptiles, boasting more than 70 different species of creatures – some cute, some deadly!
After saying hello to the many reptiles on display, you can “Swim with the Crocs” and have your photo taken as you hold a baby Saltwater Crocodile (don’t worry, the mouth is secured so you don’t have to worry about the big lizard getting nippy!). There is also a selection of fish to check out in the 200,000 litre fresh water aquarium and even a Top End Turtle enclosure to explore.
With the upcoming October school holidays, there’s plenty of school holiday fun to be had by checking this amazing attraction out. You can find out more about Crocosaurus Cove by visiting their website at: http://www.crocosauruscove.com/.
