A fun run in the evening? Sounds good to us!

By Korgan Hucent

The Palmy 5km Fun Run will be held on Sunday 9th April – in the evening! Usually our fun runs here in the Top End start at the crack of dawn so we can beat the heat, but this one is for all of those who love a bit of a well-deserved sleep in on their weekends (like a couple of us here at the Ray White Bayside office, when we manage a day on a weekend off work). The run will begin at 5pm!

The event, presented by the City of Palmerston and local businesses, invites you to meander through the 2.5km or 5km course of Palmy, in whichever way you want – walk, run, or you can even dance your way to the finish line at Goyder Square. Officially sanctioned by Athletics Northern Territory, they will be partnering with the NO MORE Campaign AU in spreading the message of NO MORE family violence across the NT.

Entry fee is just $15 for adults and when you register, you automatically get a child registration for FREE! So, get the kids involved too for a little Sunday evening fitness and fun! And for those with bigger families…teens aged 12 – 18 cost just $10 and under 12’s get to run for $5! What a great way to end the weekend!

Once you register, you will be informed as to where to collect your bib in the run up to the event. At this stage, your race packs will be available the week of the fun run, and also on the day – just make sure you get there 15 minutes earlier! More information will be available when you register on their website, http://australia-events.com/event/palmy-5-fun-run-2017.
