What are you going to treat Dad to this Father’s Day?

By Korgan Hucent

On Sunday 3rd September, some of Darwin’s hottest spots will be hosting fun-filled Father’s Day events, making it easy for us to treat and show appreciation to the greatest bloke in our lives!

Darwin FreeSpirit Resort in Holtze is hosting ‘A Day Out For Dad’. An afternoon of fun and frivolity, with live music from the band ‘The Groove Factor’, lots of yummy food, and as many refreshing drinks as dad likes! He’s sure to have a good day in the cruisiest of locations, chilling under a palm with a cold one.

Does your dad consider himself a dab hand in the garden? Then treat him to something a little different, Allora Gardens Nursery will be holding a fun and informative workshop – ‘Growing Exotic Tropical Fruit’. For just $15, you and your dad can learn how to grow and take care of exotic tropical fruit in the comfort of your own home. The perks of living here in the tropics! Be sure to book a spot as places are limited, call 8984 4066.

For the movie buffs, the classic Point Break will be shown at the Deckchair Cinema in the evening. A favourite spot for many in Darwin, take the old man to down for an action-packed flick under the stars, and enjoy a fantastic Dry Season evening, before the Wet sets in! With a licenced bar and some delicious food on offer, he’s guaranteed to have an enjoyable evening – and all proceeds will be going to the local not for profit organisation, Tactile Arts!

These are just a few of the events being held around town this Father’s Day. We’re finding it pretty difficult to decide on where to go here at the Ray White Bayside office!
