Think you have to be in Germany to enjoy Oktoberfest? Think again!

If you’re a fan of your beer or just enjoy a few steins when socialising, you’ll be crazy to miss out on Darwin’s very own Oktoberfest, held from Thursday 22nd – Sunday 25th October at SKYCITY Darwin! The guys at the casino will work hard – as they always do – to transform the Beachside Pavilion into a Bavarian Beer Hall, and we here that included on the line up will be authentic German beers, loads of delicious German food, Bavarian music and of course – you guessed it – yodelling!

If of course you hate yodelling, a few lagers will help lessen the trauma on your ears, as well the good company and fun times that this event is sure to provide you!

Also planned for the event will be a strong arm beer stein competition, which will be held each evening with a fantastic selection of prizes up for grabs…quite literally! Attendees are also encouraged to turn up in their best German get-up to win! So get those lederhosen out fellas and girls…start ringing around or trawling the Facebook buy, swap and sell pages to source a fabulous costume!

Doors open from 5pm on Thursday and Friday, and from 12.30pm Saturday and Sunday, and the event is suitable for all ages until 9pm, when it is strictly an 18+ event. Entry is free, so come and be a part of the fun! More information about Darwin’s own Oktoberfest is available right now at:
