There’s another FUNdraiser coming to Darwin

By Korgan Hucent

Dinah Beach Cruising Yacht Association are hosting a brand-new fundraiser next month – The Darwin 4 Wheel Scavenger Hunt. The aim of the game is to get us locals out and around Darwin in our cars on a scavenger hunt by following clues and completing a series of challenges. How fun does this sound?

Kicking off at 1pm on Saturday 8th April, the day will begin and end at Dinah Beach Yacht Club. It’s a day of fun for the whole family, or you and your mates! This event is in no way a race because road safety is the number one priority. The course is expected to take around two hours and no prizes will be awarded for the fastest car. This is safe family/friend fun time!

After the hunt, you can enjoy a BBQ, live music and a well-deserved cold drink or two or three. Just what we love most here in the Top End! There will be a couple of raffles too and of course, prize presentations for the top scavengers!

All cars are welcome – old, new, classic, sporty, 4WD, utes – you could even fetch your van if you need to! Maybe your jalopy?  And of course, it wouldn’t be a Darwin event if you didn’t dress up – you and the car! Themes are greatly encouraged!

Entry is just $40 per vehicle, and this goes straight to the Darwin Volunteer Coastguard too! There must be a maximum of six people per vehicle, and spaces are limited so we urge you to register soon.

Please note that (obviously) all vehicles must be registered, the driver must hold a current Driver’s Licence, obey all NT road rules and sign a waiver on the day. But you don’t need us at Ray White Bayside to tell you that, hey?  Be smart, and have fun!

For more info, please contact Kendall on 0426 959 558, or visit their Facebook event page https://www.facebook.com/events/720129401489556/.
