Something Different to do on Mother’s Day

By Korgan Hucent

If getting out in the sunshine for a walk or run sounds like something your family would love to be a part of, then it may just be a winner for Mother’s Day! The Mother’s Day Classic kicks off this Sunday 8th May at Mindil Beach and you have the choice of doing a 4km walk or run or 8km walk or run – it’s totally up to you! Registrations are still open, and you can register online up until 12pm this Friday 6th May. Alternatively, you can turn up on the day and register then and there, but registering online will save you time. Fees vary according to what you’ll be doing on the day, and all funds will go to breast cancer research – causes like this need all the help we can throw at them! You can check out the fees applicable here at: http://www.mothersdayclassic.com.au/event-info/event-locations-map/darwin/ On this website as well, you can access information relating to race packs, race numbers and timing. You can also download tribute cards to fill out and put on the Tribute Wall on the day, in support or in memory of a loved one touched by breast cancer. Registrations on the day open at 6am and at 7am the 8km run starts, at 7.15am the 4km run starts, and for the walks, the 8km walk starts at 7.30am and the 4km walk at 7.35am. On the day, be sure to arrive at the assembly area at Mindil Beach at least 30 minutes prior to your event, so you can complete your registration tasks and warm up. All the information you’ll need can be accessed via the link above, so on behalf of our team here at Ray White Bayside real estate if you will be participating on the day, we wish you all the very best as you throw your support behind such a worthy cause.
