School’s almost out… but don’t panic! The Darwin Waterfront has some awesome activities happening to keep you and the kids sane these school holidays!

By Korgan Hucent

Are you dreading the school holidays and those notorious words, “I’m bored” every second minute of the day?  Are you bracing yourself for a chaotic house and the endless tidying and cleaning tasks that just come with the territory?  If that sounds like you and you’re almost ready to go crazy, then don’t worry!  Save your sanity because the Darwin Waterfront has you covered!

It’s all thanks to the fabulous school holiday line up which runs from Monday 27 June – Friday 22 July, and throughout this period, kids of all ages can have loads of fun, compliments of the educational and FREE activities running every day from 10am until midday.

Some of the team here at Ray White Bayside are super excited to make some beautiful family memories with their kids, and for the brave ones, they may even join in on the fun.  Whoever said adults were too old for fun, right?!

Whatever the kids are into bring them down because there really is something for kids of varying interests.  And Mum and Dad, don’t worry about missing out, because there are plenty of cafes around so you can grab a very well-earned coffee.  Why not make a day of it, and follow the activities up with some lunch by the water?  There’s so much to choose from when it comes to food at the Waterfront!

Here’s just some of what’s planned this school holidays at the Waterfront:

  • Inflatable mini bowling and games on Mondays
  • Arts and craft workshops on Tuesdays
  • Archery attack on Wednesdays
  • Circus workshops on Thursdays
  • Bubble sports on Fridays

And if you don’t know what you’re doing yet, no worries!  That’s because no bookings are required – simply bring yourself and your kids, along with a drink bottle, sun smart clothing and your hat.  Oh and don’t forget the sunscreen either!

For more info on the school holiday fun scheduled to kick off at the Darwin Waterfront, and to view all the different activities and dates check out: www.waterfront.nt.gov.au/events.
