Ever thought you’d see the day where you’d celebrate the commencement of the Darwin Dry Season with some world-class opera under the stars? Well now you have the opportunity to do just that and it’s all thanks to the Darwin Symphony Orchestra and Darwin Waterfront Corporation, who will this year bring to us the, “Darwin Symphony Orchestra Opera Gala”.
This exciting event is set to happen on Saturday 21st May from 6.30pm until 9pm at the Darwin Waterfront on the lawn. Bring a blanket to sit on and also an esky, but leave the glass and alcohol at home, for this event which is a no-alcohol, no-glass event. Get your spot quickly and prepare yourself for amazing opera bought to you by Australia’s Opera superstars Cheryl Barker, Teddy Tahu Rhodes, Henry Choo and Victoria Lambourn. Conducted by Matthew Wood, this beautiful presentation will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display.
