Okay, although the calendar says it’s the Dry Season, the actual weather says likewise!

By Korgan Hucent

Regardless of the weather being a bit warmer than it should be at this time of the year, it does mean movies under the stars at the spectacular Darwin Waterfront!  Kick back for the night with family and friends to watch the 1939 classic, “The Wizard of Oz” on the big screen on Saturday 25th June starting at 7pm.

Most of us know the story well, but for those of you who don’t, here’s a quick summary.  Dorothy and her dog Toto are swept away from their beloved home when a tornado hits. They embark on a wonderful journey to get home after seeking help from the great Wizard himself.  Rated G for the whole family to enjoy, what isn’t there to love about this old favourite?

“The Wizard of Oz” is just one of many monthly movies being played throughout year at the Darwin Waterfront lawns, so save the date and enjoy a fun safe environment. Make sure to bring a blanket or chair – whatever you find most comfortable!  And because it’s all happening on the Darwin Waterfront lawns, you’re only a hop, skip and a jump away from a variety of dinner options, made possible with the plethora of nearby restaurants and cafes!  Alternatively, you can bring along your own picnic (no glass or alcohol though!) and enjoy a magical night under the stars.  Don’t forget your mozzie spray either, just in case these bities decide to make a night of it too.

So guys, take our word for it from the team here at Ray White Bayside, and get to the Waterfront early to secure a top spot on the lawn for a fabulous night of under-stars entertainment.
