Mindil Sunset Markets are back!

By Korgan Hucent

The Dry is just around the corner and the Ray White Bayside team are very excited about it! That’s because along with the blue skies and consistent 28-degree daytime temperatures, the Dry also brings the Mindil Sunset Markets!  And there’s just two weeks until the opening night of the markets on Thursday 27th April – get it in your diaries!

It’s been a long, long Wet this year and we’re more than ready for the cooler nights and weekly market buzz. The Sunset Markets are returning to Mindil, every Thursday from 5 – 10pm, and every Sunday 4 – 9pm for the next six months, and what better way to celebrate the opening night in true Top End style, than good old fireworks?

There will be entertainment throughout the night, including Rukus – Darwin’s Premier rock band in the Community Space, Emdee and Mick bringing back his whips to the Territory Space, and Burning Circus performing for us in the Sunset Pitch!

There will be food stalls galore with tastes from around the globe, including new cuisines – Russian, French and an Indigenous Bakehouse, to name a few. All situated in a brand-new seating area, The Junction!  We can certainly see ourselves taking some well-deserved time out to enjoy a bite with the famous Darwin sunset as the ideal backdrop!

For the opening night, you can also book your own private VIP area for just $22pp, which includes your very own hostess, a welcome drink and nibbles – and of course, the best seats in the house for our famous sunset and the firework display at 8.30pm! Eskys and ice are also provided for your BYO beverages.

So, head down to Mindil on Thursday 27th April and join thousands of others in celebrating the arrival of the Dry! We can’t wait!
