If you want your Kids to Get Fit and Healthy, Here’s an Idea!

By Korgan Hucent
The Triathlon NT Junior Participation program for ages 5+ was carefully designed to help kids get fit and active here in the Top End. As such, the initiative focuses on swimming during the lovely dry season or what some would call the Darwin version of a winter, however the wet season isn’t without its events.
Children are so finely tuned for learning that they are able to learn things after just a few sessions and then pick right back up where they finished off during the next session. Having your kids exercise is such an important part of life, because it helps them to improve their physical and mental wellbeing, and it does wonders for their confidence.
As great as physical exercise is, these days some kids are couped up inside with their video games, iPads and televisions that they don’t even realise how fun it is to be outside.
The team here at Ray White Bayside real estate are advocates for activities that promote improved health and wellbeing, because such activities help us to achieve a healthy and balanced lifestyle. That’s why we love to promote the Triathlon NT Junior Bike Skills session on every Friday from 6pm sharp at the Darwin Velodrome on old McMillans Road, Coconut Grove.
The best part is it’s only $2 per child! How many other sporting activities can you enjoy for just $2? You can’t even get a cup of coffee for that price anymore! All juniors must have a sporting association licence for either MTB, BMX or Tri Club and parents are encouraged to come on down, participate and encourage their kids. There’s also have a ‘Come-n-try” licence for people who don’t yet have their sporting association licence.
