Get a new best friend in 2017!

By Korgan Hucent

Are you thinking about adding a furry addition to the family? Or even a scaly one? Or a feathery one? Whether you’re a pooch person, a slithery snake fan, or a guy or girl who loves the birds, PETadopt will be able to help you adopt one, two or more!

On February 5th, PETstock in Berrimah will be hosting a Pet Rescue Adoption Day on National Adoption Day. It has been a long time since the store made the decision to stop selling dogs or cats in their stores, but they have since teamed up with rescue groups across Australia to promote rescue pets and act as advocates for pet adoption – PETadopt.

You can head along to the store between 10am and 2pm to meet some of the adorable animals available for adoption, chat with rescue group representatives and even learn about becoming a pet foster carer, if you want to really make a difference!

The rescue group representatives have looked after most of the animals for some time and know the animals best.  For this reason, they can provide adoptees with all the information they need to know about adopting a particular pet. PETadopt are devoted to helping give homeless pets a voice and find forever families.

Should you choose to adopt, 100% of adoption fees go straight to the rescue group, and it covers vital essentials such as de-sexing, microchipping, vaccinations and parasite control, as well as thorough behavioural and medical assessments.  All of this is done before the pet is adopted!

The Ray White Bayside Real Estate team would love an office cat – although I’m not sure how our boss would take that! We can always sneak one in, right?  Chances are though, you’re in a better position to give a beautiful pet a loving and well-deserved furrever home!
