Fun for everyone these school holidays!

By Korgan Hucent

With all this recent Christmas talk, the parents here at Ray White Bayside are starting to panic about what to do with our little ones…for SIX WHOLE WEEKS! Yes, it’s almost the school holidays once again and we’ve got to keep our kids occupied before the annoying “I’m bored(s)!” kick in!

Luckily for us here in the Top End we have plenty of fun places we can take the kids, such as the local wildlife parks and the Wave Lagoon, but we surely can’t take them there every day? Don’t worry parents, City of Darwin have us covered with a huge range of events and activities for the entire family. Phew!

Our local libraries will be hosting a number of activities including a Christmas Crafternoon, movies, family day quizzes and even a mini golf adventure! And of course, what would a library be without reading clubs and bedtime stories? Free activities in the air con – sounds good to me!

They have also created a six-week program of fun in the parks! With so many activities to choose from!  There’s everything from making Christmas decorations, dancing at the mobile disco and cooling down on the water slides – there’s certainly no room for boredom in D Town these holidays! All activities will be taking place in community centres and recreational areas in Darwin and the surrounding suburbs.

The full school holiday program will be released very soon but in the meantime, check out the events and activities confirmed so far here at http://www.darwin.nt.gov.au/media-centre/news/fun-everyone-these-school-holidays.
