Let us start with the location.  You’re just a hop, skip and a jump from the beach, East Point Reserve and those world-class sunsets the Top End is famous for.  Wide bike paths hugging the coast line, amid grasslands and those beautiful palm trees.  You really are in paradise and you’ll find that those frequenting the bike paths daily for their morning and afternoon walks and bike rides will agree with you.  There’s just no place like it.

Also speaking of location, Fannie Bay is just five minutes’ drive to:

• The Darwin CBD and vibrant Waterfront Precinct, which really is the centre of the CBD action, particularly on a weekend, with the various dining and entertainment venues, not to mention the wave pool.
• SKYCITY Darwin which is the ideal place perhaps to enjoy a meal or some Blackjack or Poker!
• The Trailer Boat Club & Sailing Boat Club both of which are fabulous venues for dining and catching up for a drink.
• Mindil Beach Markets operating Thursday and Sunday nights in the dry season.  Definitely the place to go for experiencing an array of cuisines from all over the world, and checking out the local arts and crafts.
• The Botanic Gardens which are perfect for a leisurely stroll and even a picnic!

Living in Fannie Bay really does afford you the best of what Darwin has to offer, as the 2,640 residents (as of 2006) will agree with!  And for those times when you need to travel, it’s nice to know that the airport is just 20 minutes’ of so away in the car.  No battling crazy traffic!
