Fancy a Run on Australia Day?

By Korgan Hucent

Then come and join some of the Ray White Bayside team and get down to the Darwin Waterfront to celebrate what makes our country really great!  Choose a 3km or 5km run or walk – whatever takes your fancy!  You don’t have to be an athlete or particularly sporty person either to be a part of this exciting event.  It’s all about enjoying the day and getting it off to a fabulous start!

Speaking of starts, it all kicks off at 7am, so to be bright eyed and bushy tailed on the day, be sure to get to bed at a reasonable hour the night before!  Registrations open at 6am and all you need to be a part of it, is a gold coin donation.

Lace up your runners and be sure to wear some comfortable clothing – not only to complete your fun run or walk…

…but to enjoy the Australia Day celebrations at the Darwin Waterfront, in the form of live music, a sausage sizzle and beach volleyball in the recreational lagoon – an awesome way to cool down, especially if you completed the walk or run!  And in the spirit of all things fun and Aussie, there will be a best dressed competition, with some incredible giveaways and prizes up for grabs.

Of course, as well, since this event is being held at the Darwin Waterfront, there will be an array of cafes, bars and restaurants open on the day for you to check out!  Multi-level parking at the Waterfront Precinct is excellent and represents easy access to everything this great part of Darwin has to offer.

For more information on this event, and the many more exciting ones coming up at the Waterfront, be sure to visit: http://www.waterfront.nt.gov.au/events/
