Family Fun to the Max at the St Mary’s Catholic Primary School Twilight Fete

By Korgan Hucent

It’s not often that those of us in real estate get the opportunity to chill out on the weekends and indulge in a good dose of R&R, however last Saturday 13th June was an exception and for a great cause too!  That’s because it was the St Mary’s Catholic Primary School Twilight Fete and kicking off from 5pm in Darwin city, it was fabulous to be a part of it.

There’s nothing like community spirit to really bring people together, and Darwin definitely knows a thing or two about it.  The student and parent population came together to create an array of arts, crafts and delicious baked goods that were sold in the market stalls that were manned by Darwin businesses and other School volunteers.  Ray White Bayside Real Estate was fortunate enough to take care of one of the stores selling glitter tattoo, glow sticks and coloured hairspray. The whole team got in on the fun demonstrating our very colourful product range!  We also had a guess the number of jellybeans competition.

In the spirit of good fun we all enjoyed the event and the highlight of the night was definitely the Talent Quest, with the Cake Stall coming in at a close second.

Proceeds of the Twilight Fete will go towards the purchase of new school resources and materials, and next year we look forward to again being a part of such a fun and rewarding community event.

The campus culture at St Mary’s Catholic Primary School is friendly and geared towards helping children achieve their potential in academic and social areas, so if you’re new to town or perhaps if you have relocated to the Darwin CBD and you’re looking for a great school in Darwin, it’s definitely one worth checking out.
