Ever consider learning some circus tricks for yourself?

By Korgan Hucent

Sure, as kids, many of us dreamed of growing up and joining the circus to experience professionally the thrill of being the centre of attention under the big top.  For some of us, well, that dream never went away – which can be said of one or two of the team here at Ray White Bayside!  Jokes aside, right now here in Darwin, up until Saturday 7th October, every Saturday from 9am until 10am, adults and kids can head down to popular beachside café, De la Plage at the Darwin Surf Life Saving Club to learn circus skills!

You read correctly!  Real life circus skills are being taught to the young and young at heart right here in our beautiful tropical city!

It’s all thanks to Mr Morris and Trinket hailing from Darwin-based circus entertainment crowd, The Burning Circus.  Mr Morris and Trinket will themselves host Circus Workshops every Saturday until 7th October, and this might just be the opportunity you’ve been waiting all your life for!

The guys will be teaching attendees an array of circus skills, including diabolo, poi, hula hoop, devil sticks, spinning plates, staff and juggling.  Try your hand at some or all of these and you may just develop one or two cool party tricks that you can show off at your next Troppo Party!  After all, the wet season is fast approaching and the humidity is on the up and up.

Circus quite simply can be considered a sport, and it’s a fabulous way to have heaps of fun, whilst building confidence and enhancing wellbeing through exercise.  Add to that the fact that you’ll meet heaps of fun-loving people in the process, and you’re guaranteed to have a great time!

So, whether it’s you who wants to learn circus tricks, or maybe a friend of even one of your kids, it’s always great to get down to De la Plage to enjoy the great atmosphere, the spectacular view and of course, the coffee and delicious delights!

For more info on this great program or to book, be sure to visit: www.theburningcircus.com.au or give Trinket a call on 0431 198 743!
