Discover the Darwin Waterfront this weekend!

By Korgan Hucent

Darwin Waterfront is one of the most popular spots here in the Top End. With easy access, free parking, beautiful scenery and plenty of amenities, it’s not hard to see why! The free lagoon attracts hundreds of people each day for safe swimming and sunbaking, and the Wave Pool provides endless refreshing fun for just a small fee. It’s the perfect place to spend your weekends as the warmer weather creeps in!

Not only is it a great place for a dip, there is a fantastic range of cafes and restaurants down there too. No need to worry about packing a picnic – you will never leave hungry! With an array of casual breakfast haunts, a Mexican, Mediterranean and Asian restaurant to name a few, you will be spoilt for choice but never left disappointed! The Ray White Bayside team can promise you that they’re all delicious – we’ve tried them all! The Waterfront is also home to some of Darwin’s greatest bars, so you could literally spend all day and night down there if you wanted to!

Whether you’re up to doing much or not, it’s worth a trip down just to have a peaceful stroll around the lush parklands and soak in the tranquil views, it really is a beautiful place. So, head down to Darwin Waterfront this weekend and experience the Top End’s tropical lifestyle at its finest.

Who would have thought this place would only be a five minutes’ walk from the city! To check out what you can do, visit http://www.waterfront.nt.gov.au/.
