City of Darwin Saves You From Potential Craziness this School Holidays!

By Korgan Hucent
Mums and Dads alike may or may not be starting to realise that very soon, the kids will be on holidays for what may seem like an endless period of time over the Christmas and New Year break. For some, that may be exciting but for others, including the many dedicated parents who are part of our team here at Ray White Bayside real estate, it can be a bit daunting trying to figure out ways to keep the kids happy and occupied when school’s out.
On a quest to help parents right around Darwin, we pounded the virtual streets of Google and were directed to the City of Darwin’s Libraries website…to find some fabulous events lined up for kids this school holidays!
Each City of Darwin Library is set to host an array of exciting and engaging activities that kids of all ages will love. The program kicks off on 11 December and runs all the way through to 23 January 2016. Every day there will be something great for children to be a part of.
To give you an idea, the program will kick off with Christmas Bedtime Stories where kids come along dressed in PJ’s to enjoy a fabulous assortment of milk and cookies, and of course, books! Movies will also be screened on the big screen each week at the Casuarina and Karama Libraries. Craft and parties are also included in the fabulous school holiday program, with some activities requiring bookings and others not.
It’s always best to, as the Scouts say, “Be prepared” so be sure to check out the schedule on offer this school holidays at City of Darwin Libraries. The website to check out is http://www.darwin.nt.gov.au/libraries/programs-and-services/children/school-holiday-programs and best of all, it’s FREE!
