Christmas in the City…Right here in Darwin!

By Korgan Hucent
There’s nothing quite like the excitement of Christmas in the City, and here in Darwin this year, there’s a spectacular line up of fun and entertaining activities. All of us here at Ray White Bayside real estate thought it would be a great idea to share the news of these fantastic events with you here!
Kicking off the festivities is Santa’s Magic Cave, located at Shop 1, Anthony Plaza in the Smith Street Mall. Santa will arrive on Saturday 12th December for daily sessions running right up until Thursday 24th December. He will be available to receive requests from children, and of course he’s always up for a festive photograph for you to treasure for many years to come!
Continuing in the spirit of Christmas at Smith Street Mall will be Christmas Crafts with local artist Aly De Groot, who will turn recycled goods into works of art! You can connect with your inner artist at any of the sessions running from Monday 14th December – Friday 18th December. Participants will create crafty cards, recycled wreaths and button baubles.
This year, Fun in the Parks will become Fun in the Mall, with fabulous activities scheduled from Saturday 12th December until Thursday 24th December.
And to top it all off, there will be Christmas at the Libraries, and from 1st – 16th December, you can write letters to Santa, indulge in Christmas craft and join in the fun of Santa Storytimes, bought to you by none other than Santa and his reindeers themselves! The libraries will also host their own Christmas Carols at the Libraries on either Saturday 12th December, Wednesday 16th December or Saturday 19th December.
