Chrissy Carols by Candlelight is back!

By Korgan Hucent

The date has finally been announced for our favourite festive event, Carols by Candlelight! Our jolly season will officially kick off on Sunday 4th December at Darwin Botanic Gardens Amphitheatre, for a night of community song and festivities.

Thousands of Territorians are expected to attend the event, just as they have in recent years – getting us all into the Christmas spirit and giving us the opportunity to belt out our favourite carols without annoying our beloveds – or work colleagues here at Ray White Bayside (not naming any names).

Performing on the night will be the Darwin City Brass Band, the VoxCrox Darwin Youth Choir, Darwin Chorale, Sing Australia and the Indonesian Mission Church. A very impressive 80 strong choir!

Gates open at 4.30pm and carols books, candles, candle cups and matches will be on sale at the entrance. Arrive early to grab the best seats in the house! Carols will commence at 6.30pm and refreshments will be available inside to keep you cool on a humid December evening. Oh and Santa will be there too!

The evening will close with a bang, with a spectacular firework display taking place at 8.30pm. As usual, this is going to be the perfect family event. Do not miss out!

Carols by Candlelight is a charity fundraiser event and entry is a gold coin donation. For more information visit http://northernterritory.com/darwin-and-surrounds/events/carols-by-candlelight.
