Avoid the craziness of the mad Chrissy shopping rush and head on down to the Christmas Saltwater Craft Markets to find some really unique gifts!

By Korgan Hucent
This year the Christmas Saltwater Craft Fair is being held at the Darwin Waterfront on 22nd November from 9am – 1pm. What better place to do your Christmas shopping than a beautiful outdoor market without the stressful shopping centre crowds? Enjoy the laid back Darwin atmosphere in the beautiful sunshine, against the backdrop of what arguably is Darwin’s best inner city spot.
At this year’s fair, you’ll discover beautiful one-of-a-kind gifts on offer by a variety of stallholders, and each creation is original, handmade and crafted right here in the Northern Territory. You will find a huge array of different artworks and unique items from pottery works to silk, to paintings and glass bead jewellery – textiles also and much, much more!
It definitely beats struggling for a carpark at Casuarina or Palmerston, and then pushing your way through the crowds and waiting in line to be served. The waterfront has multi-level parking and you just can’t go wrong spending a few hours by the water, and picking up a few Chrissy prezzies along the way!
We love the festive season here at Ray White Bayside, and we can’t recommend highly enough this fabulous Christmas fair! So come on down and visit the wonderful stalls and artists, even have a bite to eat at one of the sensational family-friendly restaurants or cafes along the pristine waterfront.
